Training Driving Instructors the evidence is not good.

I have been involved in training PDIS & ADIS for over twenty years. The one thing that sticks out for me is that we find it impossible to move away from test focused training.

This might be because of the fear of failure leads us back to teaching what to do but not how,, whether that is a driving test or a part 3 / standards check. We seem to require and look for a magic bullet that has never worked.

Pass rates for driving tests still sit below 50/50!

Pass rates for Part 3 are around 35%!

Standards check results only have around 25% of ADIS achieving a Grade A!

Yet clients pursue training that doesn’t focus on the vital key element. IT IS NOT ABOUT THE TEST, your training should be focused on the essential skills that you need to be a successful ADI.

If you are an ADI or PDI who wants to make it easier to pass a Standards Check or Part 3, then join me on my next workshop that will focus on the essential skills that you are required to practice and hone to become a great driving instructor.

Once you have developed these skills, the tests are easy.
